ABOUT OUR FARM

Section 17 Livestock is a family-owned and operated farm located near Melville, Saskatchewan. Section 17 began in 2008 when Travis purchased his first purebred bred heifers after taking over the family farm. With the addition of commercial and purebred females, the operation has since grown into a 100-head cattle herd, with the majority being registered Simmentals.
 

Our goal at Section 17 Livestock is to produce functional Simmental cattle for the beef industry. We strive to raise easy-fleshing, structurally sound cattle with strong udders and feet. We continue to invest in herd sires from other progressive breeders and have also implemented AI and embryo transplant programs to incorporate leading industry genetics into our herd.

We currently sell bulls and heifers privately, off the farm.

At Section 17 Livestock, we feel incredibly fortunate to do what we love. We are extremely passionate about the Simmental breed and proud to be part of such an exciting industry. Above all else, we value the people involved and welcome anyone interested to give us a call or stop by.
